Financial Security
Bufo Ventures Ltd is a fully licensed and bonded tour operator. We hold Air Travel Organisers' Licence (ATOL) no 4821 issued by the Civil Aviation Authority. This licence means that our accounts are subject to regular and stringent independent scrutiny. For customers who are in the UK when booking it covers all holidays which include any air travel; for customers who are outside the UK when booking it only covers holidays where the air travel starts in the UK. In the event of our financial failure before your departure, all monies paid will be refunded to you. If failure occurs while you are abroad the CAA will apply the bond so that you can complete your trip. As airline tickets and all foreign services are paid in advance, there is no risk of being stranded abroad. Unless you have requested otherwise, you will be in possession of a return scheduled airline ticket.
For those customers who are not covered by the ATOL bond but who live in the EC, all holiday payments (excluding insurance premiums) are paid into Bufo Ventures' Clients' Trust Account until completion of your holiday. In the event of financial failure before your departure, this account will refund you any monies paid. This complies with EC regulations: Consumer Protection - The Package Travel, Holiday and Package Tour Regulations 1992. These regulations do not apply to the purchase of accommodation on its own.
