Financial Security

Bufo Ventures Ltd is a fully licensed tour operator. Air holiday packages are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and our Air Travel Organiser’s Licence number is ATOL 4821. For customers who are in the UK when booking it covers all holidays which include any air travel; for customers who are outside the UK when booking it only covers holidays where the air travel starts in the UK. In the event of our financial failure before your departure, all monies paid will be refunded to you by the Air Travel Trust run by the CAA. If failure occurs while you are abroad the CAA will pay for you to complete your trip. Unless you have requested otherwise, you will be in possession of a return scheduled airline ticket.

If an airline on which we have made reservations for you fails before your departure, we shall endeavour to make alternative flight arrangements for you. If these are unsuitable (eg unacceptable dates or fare increases) you are entitled to a full refund less any deposits paid. If that airline fails while you are on holiday, the CAA takes responsibility for bringing you home.

For those customers who are not covered by the ATOL licence but who live in the EC, all holiday payments are paid into Bufo Ventures' Clients' Trust Account until completion of your holiday. In the event of financial failure before your departure, this account will refund you any monies paid. This complies with EC regulations: Consumer Protection - The Package Travel, Holiday and Package Tour Regulations 1992. These regulations do not apply to the purchase of accommodation on its own. If an airline on which you have made reservations fails before your departure, you are responsible for making alternative flight bookings and we shall endeavour to accommodate changed dates and arrangements. If you have to cancel your booking as a result, cancellation charges will apply. If you airline fails while you are on holiday, you are responsible for arranging homeward flights but we shall help in any way we can.
